- Check that your computer and receiver are connected to the same trusted local network, or that your configured USB connection is working.
- Make sure 3D Screen Mirroring has the screen permissions it needs in macOS System Settings.
- Restart 3D Screen Mirroring and try connecting again.
- Update your operating system, graphics drivers, and 3D Screen Mirroring to their latest available versions.
Windows capture and performance
Keep the window you want to share open and restore it if it is minimized. Refresh the window selector if needed. Protected video and some application windows may prevent capture. If the receiver cannot connect, check that Windows Firewall allows the app on your trusted private network.
For performance problems, include your GPU, selected AI hardware and depth mode, source resolution, codec, requested frame rate, and the displayed Stream FPS and Depth FPS. Include stage timings if available and say whether the slowdown occurs during headset streaming, in the Depth Tool, or both. A screenshot of these settings can help; remove private content first.
GPU depth estimation uses DirectML on supported graphics hardware, with a CPU option available. NPU depth estimation requires Windows 11 24H2 or newer and a supported, ready NPU provider. NPU availability and speed vary by device. Try a faster depth mode or a lower stream resolution or frame rate if needed.
Trials and subscriptions
The Microsoft Store edition provides five free days without an automatic charge. Continuing paid access requires a monthly or yearly subscription purchased through Microsoft Store. The purchase screen shows the current local price and renewal period before you confirm payment. The free app trial does not automatically purchase a subscription.
To restore Windows access, sign in to Microsoft Store with the account used to purchase the subscription, then use Restore Purchases in the app. To manage renewal, use Manage Subscription in the app or visit Microsoft Services & subscriptions. See Microsoft’s cancellation instructions. Mac purchases are managed through Apple’s subscription settings.
